Rheometer is used to measure the rheological properties of polymer melt, polymer solution, suspension, lotion, paint, ink and food. Rheological measurement is a window for observing the internal structure of polymer materials. By analyzing the response of different scale molecular chains in polymer materials such as plastics, rubber, and resins, the molecular weight and molecular weight distribution of polymer materials can be characterized. This enables rapid, simple, and effective quality testing and control of raw materials, intermediate products, and final products. Rheological measurement builds a bridge between the molecular weight, molecular weight distribution, branching degree, and processing performance of polymers, providing a direct connection to assist users in raw material inspection, processing technology design, and predicting product performance.

Rotational Rheometer

A: Controlled stress type: This type of rheometer uses a motor to drive a fixture to apply stress to the sample, while measuring the resulting strain or speed using an optical decoder. It does not generate a large amount of heat or signal drift in high torque measurements.
B: Control strain: This rheometer has a DC motor installed at the bottom, which applies strain to the sample through a fixture. The upper part of the sample is connected to a reverse torque sensor through the fixture to measure the generated stress.

Capillary Rheometer

Capillary rheometer is mainly used for testing the rheological properties of polymer material melts; The working principle is that the material is heated and melted in an electrically heated material barrel. A certain specification of capillary tube mouth mold (with different diameters of 0.25-2mm and lengths of 0.25-40mm) is installed at the lower part of the barrel. After the temperature stabilizes, the material rod at the upper part of the barrel is driven by a driving motor to extrude the material from the capillary tube mouth mold at a certain speed or at a certain regularly changing speed. During the extrusion process, the pressure at the entrance of the capillary die can be measured, and the shear viscosity of the melt at different shear rates can be calculated by combining known velocity parameters, die and barrel parameters, and rheological models.

Interfacial Shear Rheometer

This rheometer has several principles such as oscillating droplets and oscillating shear; There are mainly cone plate, parallel plate, coaxial cylindrical, and capillary tube types.
Cone plate type is a precision rheometer that can measure various material functions and is suitable for high viscosity polymer solutions and melts.
The parallel plate is an accessory with a cone plate shape, which is suitable as a supplement for viscous polymer solution melts and multiphase systems.
Coaxial cylindrical viscometer is suitable for low viscosity and low elasticity fluids.
Capillary type is suitable for wide range apparent viscosity measurement (especially for high-speed and high viscosity fluids), shear rate and streamline during flow, with geometric shapes similar to the actual conditions during extrusion injection molding. It can accurately measure the viscosity, elasticity, and rheological properties of materials.
